Coach Bags

April 9th, 2008

Coach bags are simply beautiful. They can compete at any time with all famous bags brands, while being less expensive than all those sacred monsters such as Prada, Gucci Armani or Louis Vuitton. I’m not saying that Coach bags are cheap, because they aren’t. But for the average Jane like myself, they are affordable and so stylish that it is very hard for me not to buy one new bag every other month. This is good for my morale and also for my wallet, as I really manage to keep the spending to a reasonable amount.

Coach Bags Make Friends Jealous

All my friends are jealous, because my bags are always matched with the shoes and with the accessories. It is not that hard and any of you can do it too. You just need to pay attention to details and plan your wardrobe like in a chess game: think three moves ahead. At least this is what my chess coach taught me.

I found the advice useful, so I extended it to my bags and shoes, earrings and bracelets, so I’m considered one of the most elegant girls in our neighborhood. And you have to believe me, I’m not spending a fortune on clothing. I have an average salary, so I couldn’t afford all those Prada, Gucci or Chanel bags which look so gorgeous, but in the end they are just bags. And I hate replicas. They are so many times awful made, with sloppy stitching, bad zippers and damaged fabrics. Instead of going for a fake Prada, I would go for an original Coach bag any time. Besides, I don’t want to encourage all those copycats, as it doesn’t seem fair at all that those big fashion houses invest so much in developing new models and in setting new trends, then a no-name bags producer comes and steals the design and sells his bags hundred times cheaper.

History Of Coach Bags

Coach Bags were born more than 50 years ago, in a loft in Manhattan. Six talented leather artisans made a collection of well-crafted leather goods. Everything started from a used baseball glove, which was softened and transformed into a handbag. Since then, generations of followers maintained the high standards and they always kept the glove-tanned leather as a Coach tradition. Were they right to keep this symbol alive? Certainly yes.

Coach Bags Collections

Coach did not remain a conservative company, but they rather progressed with the modern trnds in fashion and style. They are making use of modern materials for manufacturing their bags, but they always keep the classic design which makes even cheap Coach handbags to be recognized from a distance even today.
The collections are targeting different styles of personalities and personal tastes of clothing and design, and the combinations of colors and materials are sometimes astounding, without striking the eye.
Coach selects only the finest leather in the bags and purses manufacturing process, and they tan it for several days, in order to obtain the look they’ve become famous for.
Aren’t Coach bags every girl’s dream of elegance?

    Hi there,
I have pick-up a coach purse/ all leather in blue, I’ve never seen one like it before. It looks very old style, it might be from the 70’s or 80’s. I really don’t know how old, but I know its very original. Stamped COACH only…that’ it. and also have a tag. The handle is in leather, it almost like a clutch bag, shaped like a cigarette case but much bigger. Do you anything about it or do you know whats the value. I will send pics if you can help.

I got the purple/blue/black/white sateen bag for christmas, and I noticed two weeks ago the stitching is coming out already. This is my 5th Coach and I have never had a problem with them coming apart, but this is also my first sateen one. Normally I get that stiff, coated fabric. Sooooo I am planning (or should I say hoping) to exchange it, but I don’t know if I should get the same bag or go with a different one since I don’t know if I just got a crap bag, or it’s common with the fabric. HELP?

  9. admin says:

    Hi Stacey,

It’s hard for me to believe that Coach would make a crappy bag model. I suspect it was rather an exception and I do hope you’ll manage to have it exchanged. I don’t know what to say, I never had a sateen bag, so I don’t know if they are problematic.

  10. [...] Coach bags are ready for spring. It’s still cold here, the snow falls continuously since three days ago, but I’m already looking forward to the first days of spring, to the new outfits I can’t wait to wear and, why not, to the new bags I’m going to buy. One of the bags I’ve noticed in the new Coach collections is the Embossed Exotic Ella, which is a classic, but always fashionable model. I like embossed leather and I find this faux crocodile cool, yet I’m not sure I’m prepared to pay the $898 price to call one of these handbags mine. [...]
