The campaign was shot on a beach in Malibu. The new collection of this Nike Inc wholly-owned subsidiary is called Cole Haan Sporting and it cleverly pairs Cole Haan’s original craftsmanship with the sports innovations from Nike Air. The 2009 Spring collection features footwear and accessories for both men and women and it was inspired by nautical, court, track and golf.
Maria Sharapova, the tennis player, triple Grand Slam winner, was already the image of Nike and this is for the first time a Nike athlete is used in a Cole Haan advertising campaign. Cole Haan Sporting will be available in spring 2009 in all Cole Haan boutiques worldwide and at all retailers.
