When traveling, many times we need to keep some items handy, therefore that’s the reason why so many women travel with two-three bags:
- one big luggage bag, which they check in at the airport, or throw deep into the car’s trunk
- one small purse or tote bag, containing make-up, mobile phone, paper tissues, papers, wallet and other similar stuff
- one duffle bag which can accommodate easily things required for example, for stopping one night on the road, without having to carry all your luggage into the hotel room.
The duffel or duffle bag (I’m still not sure what is the correct spelling) can be made of leather or polyester, and it usually has two handles and a shoulder strap, so you can carry it any way it suits you better. As they are built to resist, some duffle bags can also have wheels, like the trolleys, and they will always be made of resistant materials. The leather used for manufacturing these bags will be the think one, calf-skin leather.
Prices for duffle bags can go as low as a few dollars, if you get the polyester type ones, or around $200-$400 in case you prefer the leather ones. Of course, for luxury fans, you can pay several thousands for a designer duffle bag, but beware that it may get easily scratched all over (it’s luggage, after all), so you may be sorry for your money.
One very important aspect when you go shopping for such bags are the handles. Because the bag will most probably be rather heavy when stuffed with clothes, it’s important that the handles are reinforced and as comfortable as possible. If you feel them like cutting your palms, then don’t buy the bag. The handles should feel soft, smooth and not harm your skin in any way. If you have a choice, go for the wheeled variant of bag, because it will help you feel less pain when walking long distances on flat surfaces, like in the airport, from the entrance to the flight gate. Of course, you need to keep in mind that you’ll have to use a unique luggage tag to identify your bag when checking it in.
Briefly, if you travel a lot, duffle bags should be in your attention.
