Marc by Marc Jacobs bags are only a part of the clothing and accessories collections by this designer. I’m not a big fan of wearing designer clothes, but when it comes to handbags and shoes, I have to admit my weakness for several brands such as Coach, Vera Bradley, Cole Haan or Marc Jacobs. However, I don’t buy a new bag every week, not even every month.
For summer 2009, I’ve spotted the elegant Marc Jacobs Softy City Bag vertical satchel, as a great choice for an office bag that’s large enough to fit my mini notebook inside, while being elegant. This bag, especially the deep fuchsia color variant, features a lightly textured leather and a striped lining. The mini coin purse attached on the front side is handy and useful, while the patch pocket with two zip openings is safe enough to shelter even the papers or the wallet. The shoulder strap drop can be adjusted from 20″ to 23″. I’ve heard that if you buy it from Nordstrom, you’ll get a complimentary leather conditioning for wallets and handbags. This may be a good idea, don’t you think so?
