Prada is a classic by definition. The Fall 2009 Handbags collection is in line with the style we’ve got used to see from this leather goods designer. An innovation compared to previous collections is that the Prada triangular logo isn’t that visible anymore, as it was moved to the lateral side of the bags. That’s much better in my view, because I consider this branding being too obvious and intrusive, many times interfering in a negative manner with the bag design. I wasn’t able to make it to Milan this year to attend the Fashion Week, but I still can write about some of the bags, as I watched some fashion presentations on TV.
May favorites from this collection are the shoulder bags. It’s true that they remind somehow of those old doctor bags, but that’s exactly what adds a special touch of charm. The leather and the colors are very well chosen for a luxury look. Smaller purses feature studded wrist straps and they are made of velvet and fur. It’s like walking around with a squirrel attached to your wrist, but anyhow, there might be persons who like this style. Personally, I’s stick to those doctor’s bags anytime. Maybe that’s because I have a cat and I couldn’t stand to think she might become a clutch some day, even if we talk about a Prada Clutch.
