I can’t decide what I like most at Coach: the cute fabric bags, feminine and soft, or the leather bags which may look more serious but offer an elegance suitable for any moment of the day. I liked the new Kristin leather tote from the first time I saw it. I like it because it’s roomy without looking huge. Actually the purse is 11” long with 13” high and it has a width of 5 1/4″. The element that drew my attention and made me think I have to get one of these bags for the coming spring was the clasp, which was inspired after a vintage bag from the ‘30s. The Kristin leather tote isn’t, though, a vintage bag at all. It has quite a modern shape and trendy color variations. Besides the classic black or white, Coach offers three more choices of color: peach with brass hardware, yellow with brass hardware and taupe with silver hardware.
The bag is made of Juno leather, fine-grain gently tumbled cowhide and it features a large outside front pocket and several multifunction inside pockets, one of which has a zipper. The hidden magnetic strap closure is firm enough to keep the purse closed. Kristin has double handles with 9 1/2″ drop. It is available for purchase on the Coach website, for the price of $398.
